We mostly maintained the existing layout of both floors, with minor structural changes to widen openings throughout the property. The hallway’s ice white colour belies the grey shades of the principal reception room to which it leads. This jump from light to dark accentuates the living room’s size and abundance of natural light. The extension houses the kitchen and a further living room accessed from the formal dining area and the hallway. Throughout, the owner’s collection of art and objects, family pieces and beloved furniture are given a pure context in which to radiate. To this end, bespoke furniture are deeply textured rather than brightly coloured.

On the first floor the fourth bedroom has been transformed into a master ensuite, that houses a generous walk-in wet area and a free standing bath.
